1/16/18: Walter is a big sweetheart with a lot of love to give. He attaches quickly in his environment and aims to please. He has fostered well in a quiet and in an active home. Walter needs a little slower introduction to humans. A stranger should not immediately put their hands on him until he's been given time to check out this new person and get used to them. With this in mind, Walter has done well with adults and children (older and considerate) who are mindful of his stranger-danger. In this situation, he is also very good about letting you know he's not ok. He is most comfortable at home or at the lake with room to explore and is not super comfortable with loud, busy public places.
Walter loves his walks! He does very well with both of my dogs - a middle-aged dog who minds his elders, and a puppy who is still learning the laws of dog communication. Walter definitely likes to be in charge of the two and they are happy to comply. He has also lived with cats, but he does not do well with cats who are not dog-friendly. Walter would welcome a dog-friendly feline companion. He needs a family to love for life. Please consider meeting this little sweetheart.
